FRMS official adventurer Malcolm Simpson sent me this message and some pics regarding hes adventure on his Surly Pugsley.
I thought you'd appreciate my latest adventure on the fat bike.  I rode
into Cape Pond (on southern shore near LaManche)via the road and then
rode the shoreline of the pond to its end where I spent the night.  The
next day I hike-a-biked overland to Mount Carmel Pond where I rode the
shore until I reached Horse Chops Road.  I rode that out to the highway
then spent the night in LaManche Park.  I then road the East Coast Trail
from LaManche to Bay Bulls.  The bike performs spectacularly in these
conditions.  Enjoy the pictures.
And here are the pictures, the only way to go is by bike.

Now that Parks Canada allow MTBs on the trails its the legit way to see Gros Morne.
Here's some pictures of our resent trip to the west coast.
Our view from the camp site.
Stuckless pond trail has some very nice single track trails.

It seems that all the trails lead to secluded beaches
